2016 and The Carrot Smoothie
After years of resolutions and goals being put on the back-burner, this year I decided to look at my aspirations a little differently. Instead of setting goals and feeling discouraged when the results don't meet my expectations, I will live moment by moment. Too many of my intentions have come to a screeching halt before they've even had the chance to expand beyond a thought. Why? Because I need a serious shift in mindset. I need to stop worrying about yesterday, tomorrow, or the next day and be present.
In lieu of the normal year-end resolution, I've decided to leave some things behind that no longer serve me or are a detriment to my aspirations. Live a fuller, healthier life by doing less. Less anxiety, less stress and less self-doubt. Got it. Easy.
First thing on tap? This post. Taking the first and necessary step of putting my anxieties aside and giving this beautiful carrot smoothie a place to live outside of my camera roll. Inspiration can manifest in the most unexpected places and today, I found it in a carrot.
